Responsibilities
- Assess and manage complex wounds in accordance with established protocols and best practices.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on wound management techniques and prevention strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of wound assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
- Certification in Wound Care (CWCA, CWCN, WOC, WOCN or equivalent) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in wound care, preferably in hospice or palliative care settings.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
