NICU Assistant Nurse Manager with
Level III Neonatal ICU experience.
In this crucial role, you will provide support and guidance to the nursing staff in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Your exceptional leadership skills, coupled with your clinical expertise, will contribute to the delivery of exceptional care to the tiniest patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the NICU nursing staff, ensuring optimal patient care and adherence to established protocols and standards.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and ongoing support to the nursing team, promoting a positive work environment and fostering professional growth.
- Collaborate with the NICU Manager to develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance the quality of care delivered to infants and their families.
- Assist in the recruitment, selection, and onboarding process of new nursing staff, ensuring adequate staffing levels and appropriate skill mix.
- Monitor patient outcomes and participate in quality improvement initiatives, striving for continuous improvement in the delivery of care.
- Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and sensitivity when interacting with patients, families, and staff members, fostering a culture of respect and dignity.
- Stay updated with advancements in neonatal nursing and NICU management, participating in relevant professional development activities and sharing knowledge with the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing BSN, MSN preferred
- Valid CA RN license
- Strong nursing experience within Level III NICU
- Experience in nurse management roles such as ANM, Charge, or Supervisor
