Position: Primary Care Medical Director (MD) - Federally Qualified Health Center Employment Type: Full Time Location: Cleveland, Ohio Salary: $235,000 - 255,000 annual salary

This Health Center is committed to providing comprehensive, high-quality healthcare services to underserved communities. The ideal Medical Director will be a compassionate and knowledgeable physician who is committed to providing exceptional primary care services within a federally qualified health center setting. This position requires expertise in managing a wide range of medical conditions, including the unique needs of psychiatric patients.
Responsibilities
Provide leadership and oversight to the primary care team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
Collaborate with multidisciplanig team including psychiatry, nursing, social workers, and specialists, to coordinate comprehensive care for patients with complex medical and psychiatric conditions.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, develop and implement clinical protocols and best practices to enhance the quality and efficiency of primary care services.
Supervise and mentor medical staff, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants, to promote professional development and clinical excellence.
Provide direct patient care, including comprehensive medical assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care, with a focus on managing both medical and psychiatric conditions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date Epic medical records in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
Actively participate in meetings, committees, and other activities to contribute to the overall success and growth of the health center.
Requirements
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related specialty
Active, unrestricted medical license in Ohio
DEA registration and prescribing privileges
Experience working in a federally qualified health center or similar safety-net setting preferred
Strong clinical skills and expertise in managing a broad spectrum of medical conditions
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
