Responsibilities
Act as a resource for the Behavioral Health team, mentoring and supporting therapists and counselors as needed; lead by example or evaluation and pro-actively engage through education and other resources.
Assist with quality improvement projects and program development within the department.
Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' mental health status, psychosocial functioning, and treatment needs.
Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual, group, and family therapy, to address a range of psychiatric disorders and co-occurring conditions.
Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, nurses, case managers, and other clinical staff to coordinate care and promote a multidisciplinary approach to treatment.
Requirements
LCSW, LICSW, LMFT, LPC, or LADC in the state of Connecticut
Masters in Social Work Degree Required
Experience working within adult psychiatry
Familiarity with supporting and supervising clinicians is a plus!
