Responsibilities of the Sterile Processing SPD Technician:
 

• Achieve quality excellence by ensuring decontamination and sterilization of materials and equipment
• Place sterilized equipment in correct areas
• Follow all procedures and policies for decontamination and surgical case cart set up
• Contribute to a positive and uplifting working environment

 
Requirements of the Sterile Processing SPD Technician:
 

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) or International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) preferred
• Prior sterile processing experience preferred
